    Betting on/ Fading Shoemaker tonight?
Something to watch closely, remember Angels pitcher Matt Shoemaker needed emergency brain surgery just 7 months ago because a 105 mph line drive struck him in the head. He will be wearing an extra head protector tonight for the first time in a MLB regular season game. It is something small, but even the smallest things have thrown pitchers off. I took a piece of Oakland tonight as the underdog.

    A piece on ESPN:

As Outside the Lines reported two years ago
, Dan Jennings became the first pitcher known to wear protective headwear after being hit by a liner; he, too, selected the SST insert. But when Jennings struggled with his performance, he elected to stop using the device
. Shoemaker is the second pitcher who has been hit to say publicly that he'll wear such protection in games.

Shoemaker is doing fine. He has his velocity and location. I'm on the Angels tonight. You won't be getting this price on him after tonight. He's a top 5 AL pitcher in my book.

True Angels lineup can rake, although Manaea with 124 K's last year is promising

And yet they have the best player in baseball patrolling centerfield.
