Honestly, I don't think they're calling it terribly at all, they're blowing the whistle when someone fouls. And like you said, so far it's been consistent. They are over-officiating and killing the pace and flow of the game making it hard to watch, but they're consistent and they're accurate.

UNC won a Championship. I don't know what in because that wasn't basketball. Would have been nice to see two good teams decide who is the Champion. No flow ever allowed. The Mike Stephens show instead.

Exactly! Instead of letting the players take center stage, refs became bigger than the game. They called way too many touch fouls early in the 2nd half setting up the early bonus for both teams which ruined any possible flow. Brutal way to wrap up the season! Would have been nice to see both teams at even strength or close to it throughout, but multitude of "nickel and dime" fouls disrupted any chance of that happening...

A few things:

- Meeks didn't have the ball when his hand was down OB. He lifted it up and then gained possession.
- the referees may have called the game too ugly, but they called it reasonably even for both teams
- their biggest mess-up of the night came with 3 minutes left, and UNC up 2 when Zags player attempted a 3 and it went straight OB. They thought it came off of a UNC deflection. The Zags scored there to tie the game instead of UNC having a shot to go up two possessions. I figured that would decide the game but it didn't. Definitely the worst call of the night.

Actually took the lead with that shot but I 100% agree thought that was gonna change the outcome of the game in zags favor.. terrible call. 2 refs said airball, 1 comes in and says deflection and its overturned? Makes zero sense

Saw that, too, and of course Nantz asleep at the controls and never mentions it. That said, I think when he controlled the ball, he was back in bounds, but it was close and worth mentioning.

And the flagrant BS has to stop. First, they miss the call, then to make up, they call flagrant on the big guy from Gonzaga.

The ball was touching him. He may not have had control but it was definitely in contact with his body.

The ball was in Meeks lap. Of course he was touching it. The ref looked over and saw his hand if you look at the replay. You can clearly see his head turn to see Meeks hand out of bounds. He just refused to call it. Horrible calls on both teams. Refs need to be publicly reprimanded.
