Shit, I thought it was illegal everywhere. Then again, you can cause a serious accident just looking down at your phone dialing a number as you can reading or sending a text.
My dad can barely drive properly while he is just talking on the phone.

Is that where that guy just killed a bunch of people? Texting is worse than damn drinking for people like me. I can't look down, and drive straight.

Terrible. The one at fault always seems to walk away. Last I heard he wasn't charged, but recently admitted he was texting. If it isn't illegal there then who knows. Has to get something.

There was a witness(or witnesses) that said that he was swerving for awhile before the crash and that he admitted on the scene that he was texting. I think that guy was only 20 years old.
I am glad that I never got into texting. I can't stand it. I get texts often and never even read them. It's like just fukking call me, I don't have the time or patience to type out a message back, especially since I am still rocking a flip-phone.
I do have the bluetooth synced up in all of our cars though.
all you have to be is a famous tranny then you can get away with texting and killing people...problem solved

Can't text or have a cell phone to your ear while driving here in Los Angeles, California even in trafficc as you will get a ticket for $282 last I checked. They got cops on bikes on freeways in traffic going up the middle looking for people on phones.. In completely stopped traffic you will still get lit up which is a joke..

That has to be legal the hang-up or on/off switch is within reach of our thumbs,
and them there some pretty short digits
`Cuse is 100% right in that texting is just as bad or worse than drunk driving. It should be illegal nationwide.
Very tragic... case after case of a kid/person believing his.her life (text) is more important AND worth the slaughter of unsuspecting/innocent lives / victims... lives destroyed left behind...
sucks ballz big time

Do not text and drive
gun in one hand, my "gun" in my wife's hand, taking video with my phone in the other hand...... I have no need to text and drive, tho I could if I wanted.....
Texans are talented.....
If I rear-end someone in front of me, trust me... it's intentional.... they were driving too slow.......

Fuk, here in FL its illegal to text and drive, but its not a primary offense, the cops cant just pull you over for texting, they have to pull you over for something else, then if you were texting they can write a ticket for texting ,fuking backwards ass law. I think if your under 18 they can pull you over for texting here, but how can they know your age. Big money lobbyists have managed to keep it this way.

That dumbass SOB was all over the road. There were a couple people behind him filming him and trying to call to get the Sheriffs out there to get him off the road before someone got hurt. The Sheriff's dispatch basically blew them off.......

do you really have to pay as much attention to minute moter function with your fingers and READ little letters while eating a sandwich or drinking a bev?
I drink and eat all sorts of stuff while driving
but I almost rear ended a dude while trying to read the alcohol content on the craft beer bottle I was drinking from, ever since then I just drink from my Jack Daniels bottle. I know the alcohol content of that.
better safe than sorry, ya know?

Yeah, i remember I almost rear ended someone on the freeway texting years ago also. Had to lock the brakes up last second.. Learned my lesson not to text while moving but only when stopped..
Eating and drinking no biggie while driving..

Texting is worse in Texas since everyone has a 1st grade level education which guarantees a longer misspelled text. There are many variations of "Y'ALL" as well. That can get confusing and requires an apostrophe, although proper grammar skills are non existent there.
