Even so, it's the way these lousy teams get better. They pile up the lottery picks and eventually get good. Nobody thought that New York would be a lottery team this season and they've had a late stretch here where they're losing almost every game. Now, they can have a 2nd possible franchise player and Hernangomez is a great pick in the 2nd round from last season. Let them lose. I love this crop of players coming in next season.

Lakers on the other hand... last thing they need is another pg, or an sf.

I wasn't a huge fan of D'Angelo Russell but the Lakers had to take him in the #2 spot. Sometimes luck is involved, but there's a nice cluster of studs in this draft. Maybe teams will make trades. I didn't expect the Knicks to get anything and now the fans are chanting for them to lose.HAHA .As good as Lonzo Ball is, he's not the best and a team might have to deal with his dad Lavar. No thank you...PASS

I think porzingis could be great, maybe hit 80% of what dirk was. The Hernan gomez kid looks like a good pair with kristaps in the front court for the future.

Player personnel can only band aid the situation so much. The true stink will reveal itself in the form of dolan leeching into the team somehow. Look at the current head coach now. Hornacek looks like he can't wait to get fired every night. Indicative of upper management incompetence all stemming from the owner

53% chance the Sixers get the Lakers' top 3 pick if the Lakers win tonight. That might hold anyway. If the Lakers are able to 'undertake' the Suns in the standings then a 44% chance the Sixers get it.

knicks never draft top 5-10 projections, also draft european guys. Granted Porzinkis has worked out so far, how many busts did they go through to get him. Such awful strategies they have year in and year out. No big trades, not big moves. It's like they are happy being awful.

I would hate drafting Lonzo Ball. Too much drama to go with him and I think he's overrated. You see him play against Kentucky in one of the biggest games of his career, he didn't even want to play, cared less. Fukk that guy

Simple formula for Knicks at the draft. It's always in the theatre at the garden and everytime the crowd cheers, the guy is going to be a bust. Everytime they boo he's gonna be a stud. They booed loudly at porzingis.

Who was the guy that Isiah thomas selected one year with the 7th pick? Makes me chuckle still to this day. I thought it was a soccer player. Ronaldo balkman?

He wasn't a lotto pick! He went 20th! Knicks drafted well even under Thomas. The year before that they got D.Lee at #30. They have good scouts it seems.

The got the pg J.Grant the same year as Porzingis. V.smooth scoring pg. He made me money last night... I like him. They also got the spaniard recently -technically not their pick, but they got him before he played a game in the nba, so again that comes down to scouting.

Isaiah drafted TMac and for the Knicks, he chose David Lee (excellent pick). He definitely is a good drafter.
