The media was force feeding us a UNC/Duke title game. They were praying for that to happen to drive ratings. UNC should have lost to Arkansas until the refs got the memo that their cash cow better not lose. UNC was allowed to go over the back of Arkansas players with impunity.

Point of the thread was Zags easy path. I don't know the history on seeds and relation so where they play. Obviously the committee can't make it perfect. Wouldn't be shocked by the numbers of seven seeds or higher playing close to home, committee isn't perfect. They played their last game in New York and blew the doors off of solid Baylor team. They made Baylor look like a HS team with their frantic defense. It was no fluke that they dominated Duke. They were the better team. Yet you're still trying to use a bullshit excuse.

Each of the #1 seeds had the same path. It's not Gonzaga's fault Villanova and Duke got there asses kicked by better teams. The regular season means nothing come March.

Would you rather play them or a veteran Wisconsin team who played 2 of the last 4 Final fours including a runner up? And if Arkansas would have made a basket in the final 3 and a half minutes they may have won. We will never know because they couldn't score. On the other hand, if I told people UNC, UK, Kansas, and Oregon would be the teams left fighting for a final 4 spot no one would be surprised because all of those teams were considered real title contenders this whole season. Gonzaga, imo, had the easiest draw from the beginning and then watched as every serious contender, and hard matchup for them, got knocked off. The title game will end up being a mismatch against a pretender. It will most likely be UNC or UK with them winning convincingly in the championship. Hopefully it is Gonzaga so we can all watch as a blue blood lets them know where they really are on the pecking order.

I don't know what you want me to say. I don't think there is a conspiracy going on that refs are purposely helping UNC. Should the refs have made a call on that Berry play, ya, when there is that much contact you have to call a block or charge in that situation. You have it wrong about Florida. UF was one of the highest ranked teams RPI in the country. They blasted UK in what I think was their largest beat down of the season and should have beaten Gonzaga and did well against Duke on the road. They were in line for a 2 seeding before there big man Egbunu went down. I'm not sure why you won't give UF credit as one of the best tourney teams in the last decade? UF has a history of going deep in tourneys. UF and Wisky was the best bet of that bracket by far. UF ain't no underdog.
