Agree chi. Only downside I can see is fan base has a slightly unrealistic expectation. They think they should be competing for championship every year.

Indy cannot get the players like they use too

A team on the hoops decline

They should have backed the truck up for Gregg Marshall. If he was there they'd be in the final four every year. That said Archie will be a MAJOR improvement over slimeball Crean and he's way better than Alford too who had his job literally saved by Lonzo Ball. I thought that would have been a terrible hire but I like Archie

Surprised they couldn't do better, but he's a good coach. His claim to fame is beating Cuse in the Tourney. Not sure how well he will do under pressure with the alumni breathing down his neck.

Good move for Archie. He's going from a small school in Ohio where he was successful to a big school in Indiana. From a recruiting stand point he will have more leverage tapping in to a region he was already familiar with.

We'll see if he's successful. His brother made the similar jump from Xavier to Arizona a little while back. It makes sense for him and is a good move.

I doubt that he is in their top 3.

Right now - let's say you get decent grades and are rated a blue chip - top 25 guy - can most likely go anywhere you want.

Would you pick and choose from a team that has been to a final four in the last few years? That kind of player does not have to worry about playing time.
