It says in the article that he owns seven homes and a jet and he's 70 years old.

Age of 70 is peak year? Well, he seemed to be done some bad stuff, maybe, it's a realization period for him.

I think the "greed" part is what led to the conviction. He bought millions of dollars of stock instead of something that looked more routine. Many, many trade on inside info. But they don't buy $20 million and 2 days later sell them. They buy 1,000 shares make the 5 point move and get out. The SEC won't even fool with those because there are a zillion of them. But here comes Billy scorching the earth with huge orders.

He may not be as bad as Adam Meyer who hired someone to stick a gun in someone's temple and extort 45 million from a client but Walters deserves to go to prison and just might die there. Good riddance!

Very surprised at the venom many posters are spraying at Billy Walters. The guy was a friggin' legend. When 60 Minutes does an expose on a guy who made millions betting sports, that's pretty damn good. I haven't seen JJ Gold on 60 Minutes, or Lakerboy, or Seaweed. But JJ keeps talking about how he screwed everyone over. Stu Feiner screws everyone over. Billy is a legend.
