This one jumps off the page. UVA is solid but not that talented. We all know about their struggles on the offensive end. UNC Wilmington shoots a lot of 3s which can really hurt Virginia's pack line defense. Look for the Seahawks to get hot from deep and pull off the upset here.

I will say this about them....they have like 5 legit scorers...not one or at the most two like most mid majors have that a power conference team can shut down. If they get the 3 ball falling, UVA might have their hands full trying to keep up. The only problem is UNCW has no size.Comment -

Just remember, UVA had better odds than Duke (eventual ACC tourney champ and preseason and current national title favorite) to win the ACC Tourney. I would not feel comfortable taking UNCW +290 over Virginia. I'm actually confident that UVA will cover too. Wilmington will have big problems with Wilkins and Salt on the boards and Virginia might just flatout beat them at their own game, even though it's hard to believe for casuals. The thing about UVA is that the scoring averages are so low because that's the pace Bennett chooses to play at, but that doesn't mean they can't run up and down with a mid-major and deliver a beat down.
ETSU is worth taking at least on the spread against Florida. They'll play them within single digits for sure.

The idea looks good now, but when they actually play, you'll see how much bigger and more athletic UVA is overall and how it'll either make Wilmington's shots a lot harder to get or you'll suddenly see an offensive explosion from the Cavs because you're so used to them not scoring much when they play UNC, Louisville, etc.Comment -

Wilmington press all game long, remember seeing them last year, they give up alot of easy baskets and foul alot, they win by running teams into the ground and wearing them out and creating turnovers. UVA has a good smart ballhandler in Perrantes, outside of his ballhandling and smartness the press may cause a few turnovers, outside of getting it past halfcourt we know UVA plays slow anyway, not in a hurry to shoot. The trick is getting UVA out of character and trying to speed them up. Decent sized leads can do that, still I think UVA wins not sure of cover, Wilmington a little better than last year UVA is not as good last year, Wilmington lost to Duke by 8 in 1st round last year, not sure what this opened at but if opened at +9 thats sounds good for a hungrier Wilmington and better than last year, 8 sound good too.Comment -
