He has an emotional/intellectual disconnect. Deep rooted problem that he can not control.

Cup of coffee and a donut in the NBA because he is from Duke and is white. A black guy with his skill set and baggage would never get a shot.

As an older guy on this forum, who watched tons of NBA since the 70`s, I do wish the league was a little more balanced racially. How about 1 freakin` white dude who can play on each team? Not happening.
