What sort of people are you selling cars to in a dress shirt and bow tie?? Volvos? Bentleys? Has to be something only old bastards and doctors like.

And 120/mth?? WTF? Not an expert but would have thought 50 cars for one salesman per month would be a lot at even big retail dealers.

Sam when I sold cars it was 9am to 9pm with one early day a week (off at 5pm), and Saturday until 6pm. I thought most stores went to a split shift, but I guess F&I doesn't get that benefit?

I work monday tuesday thursday friday 8am-8pm
saturday 8-6pm and every other sunday 10am-4pm
off wednesday

Brutal. All dealerships closed on Sunday in VA--which is where I sold cars.

I transitioned to career where I knew one day I would be able to work 30hrs a week and still make bank.

The key is to make a good ammount of money then get out. Most get stuck in the workaholic lifestyle and make bad monetary decisions and wind up working 12 hours a day and still in massive debt. Americans are debt slaves in general. The elites are winning.

No college degree and went from sales to finance manager in 3 years and at 26 years old have 2 years of management experience and making 6 figures. Maybe not best hours in the world but certainly doing better than most with a college degree

and still young enough to change fields if need be

insurance says seems awful. The great part about car says is that the customers come to us. We dont have to cold call or gonout to get the business

I get it. I sold cars for six years--age 19 to 25. I do not have my degree either.

But imagine if... instead of getting paid once when you write a finance contract, you get paid 3x your normal commission, in installments over the life of the loan. And when the customers got a new loan, you get a shot at getting that business too...

It is a beautiful thing to already be making money by turning the lights on

Its one of those business's that you struggle hard to start getting the clients but once you build up the clients its easy. 80% fail trying and few find success.
