Lol at Gonzaga. Favored by 20.5 over an average BYU team and loses. BYU was more of an underdog against the Zags than Southern (+12) was as a 16 seed four years ago!

Also Gonzaga are running slow sets, ball movement makes BYU look silly if you pass it around they get all out of whack. Santa Clara did that and killed them.

I didn't see one offered on the books I looked at, and that's always pretty suspicious imo, but you're seldom gonna bet a ML like that unless you're trying to needle something historic like a 16 over a 1 with a little bit of pocket cash.

I usually always throw a little bit on the ML on huge dogs if offered. I didn't bet this game but normally I'd bet like $200 with the points and throw like $10 on the ML. You just need 1 or 2 to hit to cover a bunch of em.

Highly doubtful. I mean they're gonna be playing some crappy team like South Carolina in the Round of 32. It'll be Sweet Sixteen or later for them to lose. That they've been favored by 20-30 points in conference, even though their conference is bad, says that they sure aren't losing to some middle of the pack bubble team in the first weekend. It'll take a very good team to beat them.

That's how it usually works.


I'll say this much. Gonzaga's best team ever was the 2013 team with Pangos, Bell, Harris, and Olynyk. They were favored by the 10 over Wichita State, a team a lot of the casuals knew nothing about and picked to lose to a crappy Pitt team, and they really blew that game with bad coaching (zone letting much smaller Wichita hit 3's instead of playing man) and probably gone all the way to the Final Four.


2013 Gonzaga also went into the tourney at 10/1 and never saw 6/1 odds to win the title like this team. This team is way tougher than that team and has bigger, more athletic, more physical guards and is tough on the boards. I think that makes the difference and takes them into the Sweet Sixteen very easily, especially since they're guaranteed no worse than a 2 seed.
