    Ben Simmons
    Out for season

I bet he's the biggest flop since Oden.

way to be up on the news since this was reported yesterday

There was no way he was playing this year - no reason to rush him back plus agent was pushing for ROY which he'd be eligible for next year

interesting how you could compare a player who had multiple injuries in college to a guy with one injury to speak of and say he's a bust. But I guess that's why you're as sharp as you are

You can move on to a more current thread now.

FTR...I'm comparing two top picks with injuries who never fukkin play.

I'm surprised you were so impressed with Ben Simmons' NBA career thus far

And Anthony Bennet averaged more over his college career than both of them.

I'm not saying I know anything you don't but, I posted a thread a year ago, where I called his NBA career a flop.
I just don't find anything about his game overly impressive.

Jay at least say something remotely intelligent - the guy broke his foot in October - freak injury, nothing more nothing less - but to compare him to a guy who had multiple injuries in college just makes no sense to me....

"who never fukin play". Maybe make this thread this time next year if he gets hurt again

Usually these guys that can go straight to the NBA turn out pretty good.

Alright, who should I compare him to? Kenyon Martin?
Some players have lucrative NBA careers after big injuries out of college.
                      Some don't.

I'm not trying to sound intelligent or pretend I know something that no one else knows, I'm just making a prediction.

He was NEVER going to play this year. And Embiid will play sparingly the rest of this year. They are about getting the best draft pick possible AND letting these two (easily the most talented players on the team) heal until they can get a full year in together. Even next year they will get more days rest than other guys and it makes sense. The longer a broken bone can heal, especially in the foot, the better chance it has to stay healed. The rest of the team is starting to play well, especially defensively. Saric, Covington, McCullough, Holmes are all becoming NBA quality players. Add a top 10 pick, maybe two, to the mix and you have a playoff team next year. Is it a house of cards? Sure, but it's something. I'm shocked they beat the Wizards last night but they played good team ball even though there was no rim protector in the game for them.

This guy suffered a jones fracture. Thats a tough one to overcome. Wide receivers take like a year to regain confidence and get back to 100%. Imagine a point guard that has to shift and cut and jump un and down so many times. Wish him well.

It was not a good comparison. I get what Jay is saying though. Its frustration. its also seems to be heading in the same direction. Sit and collect. This can turn into that.
Here is another bad comparison that comes to mind. Grant Hill. Guy sat and collected for like 5 years. was painful to watch. Although he did start off on the right foot.
