Yes, definitely a marathon and not a sprint.

Last year's standings are below. The contest ran from January 18 until April 20. So 68 days of daily tournaments.

This year's runs from February 13 until May 31. That's 78 days, so 10 days more. So the standings from last year will, most likely, be lower than this year.
