You have to take into consideration the length of the nba season. The same teams make the playoffs every year, most of the games are meaningless, hence you see teams resting players all over the place. You have a shit Knicks team that has been embarrassed on their home stand needing a win badly and a Spurs team that really could care less.

Sometimes people just look at the betting numbers and decide that something can't be rigged. Why can't it? Look what the tv contracts did for player contracts. Look how much is bet on super bowl. Not saying this game was rigged but don't dismiss it so quickly. There's many reasons one team might drop to another team that could be mutually beneficial to all parties.
Warriors losing to lakers early in season comes to mind. Think of all the ways that served the parties involved.

The nba isn't rigged like say WWE is, it's more of a subtle manipulation at times by the refs. The players don't know and don't care either way.

That isn't to say ref induced games are slam dunks, a team can overcome it all the same. Every player in the nba is a stud, only a dozen of guys are head and shoulders above the rest. All it takes is a little push in momentum here and a missed call or two there and either team of the ref crew choosing is up 20

The spurs aren't the spurs of the past decade or so either. Inconsistent and a young bench make their 10 point leads evaporate where in yrs past it would balloon to 20 or more.

Some college games are rigged. This is a known fact and people have been busted for it before. College kids make no money so some of them take money to miss some free throws or something. But why would an NBA player making 20 million dollars do something like that? Makes no sense. Pro games are not rigged. Just because you lost a bet doesn't mean the players were conspiring for you to lose.

It's the NBA not college basketball. There's a reason only 400 guys in the world play in this league and is the most select league in any sport in the world. Anyone can win during an 82 game season.

These kids go crazy and start pounding their chests when they beat a top 10 team like they just won the championship.

When the Suns beat the Spurs, Suns don't even care. It's move on to the next game. That's the difference between college and NBA.

College players blow. It's an awful brand of basketball. Ppl think the defense is so good but it's really just pitiful offensive players with no skill at all. That's why the ones that dominate in college come into the NBA and they get assigned to the D league, cause they can't do shit at that level.

Exactly. The draft is littered with high 1st rounders who are from overseas. Those players are more NBA-ready than a 19-YO that you are projecting.

Prime time NBA NFL CFB CBB NHL MLB are rigged to the gills.

The games grossly differ from their non primetime counterparts and a big part of it is simply due to the amount of eyes and money on these games. People naturally want to gamble on games they can view on their TV set.
