Syracuse Center Fab Melo Dead at 26 in his native country Brazil

Damn, what horrible news. I really liked watching this kid play and his effort on the court.


Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim told ESPN the cause of death is not yet known, but according to a report from Brazil, Melo died in his sleep. He lived with his mother and two sisters.

I don't know any details on the death. I hate to even say anything, but he was a big drinker, and always hanging out downtown while in the Cuse. Who knows what happened in the end, though. A big guy, who may have just had a heart attack. So much potential.
