    These NBA Team Totals Crazy.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that defense (except for a handful of teams) is history. Also scoring has reached new heights in these past seasons. Can't remember the last time I saw a 190.
Long story short. I can't help but think I should probably under these 120s every time I see them. Cavs 121, Rockets 124. How often do winning teams actually get to the 120s? This might be something we want to look at closer. I mean, a lot can happen to keep these team totals under such exaggerated numbers.

Teams vs. historically good defensive teams game totals are still regular. Example Grizzlies, Jazz. The reason why totals are high now is because the court is wider which incentivizes more 3 points and also almost all centers are shooting 3.. The only centers I can think of not shooting them are whiteside, gobert, deandre jordan and I am sure a center missing 3s effects the defense as well.

I really didn't know they widened the court. Yes, lots of big men shooting from outside.

What sort of vibe u see at GoldSt/OKC game? Up-tempo?

CRIS has pretty cool selection of game props, pitting Russell vs Durant.

I personally hope Russell sticks it to Durant. Special situation, imho.

good thread, thank you OP .......... i wasn't fully aware of this general situation although now i've googled some info

average game this year is 210 points vs. 205 last year and range of 190 to 200 in previous years..

league is 53% OVER this year after about 48% last 2 seasons........

many OVER teams this season. only 2 solid UNDER teams and in their cases only their O/U record is solidly UNDER. averaging all their o/u results by points they are basically flat

Cleveland Denver game there were 67 3 point attempts between the 2 teams. Game is changing. It's all about fast pace shooting...the warriors really got this trend moving other teams copy cat

well rockets are 1st in 3 pts attempt, for cavs/denver game, denver is a high scoring team and cavs total trend is over in their last few games, the only teams you can find around 190 are the jazz and memphis depending on their opponents. celtics/jazz total is 205.55

Just always bet the under. It may not work this year....but one of these years you could start to break even.

I see what you're saying JJ but I'm not sure thats how the fanbase feels. People seem to love the shootouts.
