This area is a great place to live... that'd work. Brand spanking new Rivers Casino just opened couple days ago on Mohawk in Electric City, too. Was there yesterday... no more long drives to Foxwoods or Turning Stone for poker. Good times. Same group that runs the Rivers in Pittsburgh & the Sugarhouse in Philly runs this one. Top notch. Approx same distance to Boston as is to NYC, so... not too far from many options and everything in between. You get rural & bigtime city experience within your relative-near grasp. Btw, I drive by the B-ball Hall of Fame on the regular in my travels thru Springfield -- should I stop in and see if they've officially honored Opie's 8' dunk?

The racino near the track BLOWS; just slots and electronic craps/BJ. Has never tempted me and have only gone when a couple slot junkie friends have dragged me there. Buffet is sub standard, too. Only redeeming feature is a nice nightclub there that does indeed attract smoking young women. I mean, REALLY good looking women. This area really needed a full-fledged casino like Rivers... and now it's finally here. Northway/thruway/890 gets ya there in ~half hour.

In reality, daggers... the last thing I need is a manslaughter charge, so it's probably best Goldy backed down and diverted topics.

Plus, I use to go to Pownal, Vt. back in the day when they had the greyhounds, and I've always wanted to see if I could get a dog track up & running in Saratoga to take its place -- figure if Baldy comes up to live this way, maybe I could entice him to take the rabbit's place and run around the track so the doggies will naturally chase his shiny chrome dome.

Best thing bout it now since minor league hockey flew the coop is it's close to Lake George. Glens Falls had a long and fairly successful affiliation(s) with NHL parent club(s). Maybe another opportunity will come along some day. Goldy if you make it up this way we'll have to go in and harass samsncharge @ the dealership he works at. We'll play "good cop, bad cop" in a customer sense and give him the runaround all day. Btw, one of my best friends owns a camp right on Lake George (water/dock access) and the fukkin TAXES are killing him.
