The reason why they went left-wing is ESPN is owned by Disney,
and Disney has been left-wing since the Disney family lost control
and the company went public in the early 90s.

Agreed. It happened during the first year of "Gay Day" at Disney World.

Man...he covers a lot. Goes into why ESPN is in the state they are in and for whatever reason, they decided to alienate most of their viewers by going far left. Said they don't even tolerate other views like a CNN or MSNBC would. Blew my mind that every person who subscribes to cable pays $30 a year for the NBA whether they want it or not. Basically you have a right to your opinion unless it differs from what they believe in. Take Kaepernick as an example. Not one person in the company said anything other than that he was brave. Several people work in ESPN are not left wingers...either moderate or right and are afraid to say anything in fear of being fired.

Daner, watched the whole thing. I don't know why it wasn't working this afternoon. The guy couldn't be more right about ESPN. You would think a successful company would realize they are alienating much of their viewership with this stupidity. I never really thought about the whole Kap thing until now. Now that I think back no one called him out on ESPN.

Dane, I saw this the other day through his periscope. He does one daily. Do you listen to Clay Travis on the radio? He's pretty good. The only guy willing to say things how they really are.

At least CNN & Fox bring on people with different views to have a discussion. will be interesting to see where this leads to for ESPN. Sports is supposed to be an escape. I don't think they can continue to have these huge contracts with leagues & conferences moving forward

Every show has 2 or 3 black guys (the majority of whom cannot speak english) and a brown-eyed blonde girl. I'd rather hang here in SBR Players Talk and hope JJ comes out with a new video of him making love to a car exhaust pipe. That's entertainment!

I don't for the life of me understand how from a business standpoint you want to basically eliminate half the country from your brand....on either side. Hate how politics has seeped into sports and business on activist level.

I'm not for boycotting this product or that one but on ESPN they really have sucked for years. Be intersecting to see how this plays out with contracts for sorting events in markets...costs money and if you lose revenue you have less to buy in with.
