#41Falcons are the better team, NE's defense is extremely overrated from the shit offensive teams they've played most of the season.
Falcons roll. Matt Ryan takes home the regular season and SB MVP's.Comment -

#47I'm not a firm believer in using the transitive property as a "be all and end all" barometer, but just like the RPI in college basketball, it is a useful tool and metric stat to help make a pick...here are the common opponents of both teams:
New England 23 Arizona 21 (at Arizona)...2pt victory
New England 30 San Fran 17 (at San Fran)...13pt victory
New England 26 Rams 10 (at New England)...16pt victory
New England 16 Denver 3 (at Denver)...13pt victory
Atlanta 38 Arizona 19 (at Atlanta)...19pt victory
Atlanta 41 San Fran 13 (at Atlanta)...28pt victory
Atlanta 42 Rams 14 (at LA Rams)...28pt victory
Atlanta 23 Denver 16 (at Denver)...7pt victory
what exactly does this info mean?...well if you use the old rule of thumb that homefield is worth (+3) points, then we can make the following adjustments:
Pats over Cardinals = 5pts
Pats over San Fran = 16pts
Pats over Rams = 13pts
Pats over Broncos = 16pts
add the four totals up and then divide by 4 and you get 50/4 which means Pats adjusted average margin of victory is 12.5pts per game
Atlanta over Cardinals = 16pts
Atlanta over San Fran = 25pts
Atlanta over LA Rams = 31pts
Atlanta over Denver = 10pts
add the totals up and then divide by four and you get 82/4 which means Falcons adjusted average margin of victory is 20.5pts per game
so 20.5 - 12.5 = Atlanta by 8 over New England in the Superbowl!...Falcons win 31 - 23!....Comment -

#48Brady wins super.bowls.by the smallest.amount..3 points on all.wins..the play is to take Atlanta maybe.plus 6..or to.win outright. They destroyed the.hottest qb in football. NE advantage is very minimal vs.very good teams..Pitts was exceptionComment -

#52Great analysis D. I'm leaning towards Atlanta on the side as well. If the Pats are to "roll" like everyone is saying, the line would be moving higher but its stuck on 3 at plus money? When do books give plus money let alone on Tom Brady and BB ? That's the answer right there in front of our eyes. Way too many weapons on the Atlanta side compared to NE. Yes we know Brady/BB are in another league, yes we know this is another Superbowl return for the Pats, yes we know Brady wants to put it to Goodell and Brady's mother has cancer but this Atlanta team can score at will and has an underated D. Also, if the Pats begin with a slow 1st quarter start in typical fashion they'll be playing from behind the whole game. Good luck in your plays but I think Matt Ryan and company will be smiling in the end.
Note - I'm basing my comments on the current line offering from Pinnacle.Last edited by Statman; 02-04-17, 08:59 PM.Comment -

#53I just want the game to start. No clue who wins. Probably the Pats since I have everything on the Falcons. Hoping for a nice blowout. Keep the boring Playoffs going. Brady made his name against the greatest show on turf. Time for him to go down on the turf. Dwight Freeney with a big a strip sack. His last run at it, and will lay it all out there. They will get to Brady, and shake him up.Comment -

#64I just turned 13 dollars into whatever taking the fckin Avalanche, and Sabres -1.5. Unreal. This is gambling. I literally just saw a game, and took plus money. Easy wins. This shit is a damn joke. There is no edge. I took the worst team in the NHL -1.5 at +400.Comment -

I already gave a thorough write up on this game...IMO, this one of the easier games to cap...I feel great about the Falcons (+3)...Hell, I think they win by at least a TD....Long story short, Pats defense is good not great....the only reason they are ranked that high is because the offenses that they played sucked moose dong...the Jets twice (#26 in total offense), Miami twice (#24), Buffalo twice (#16), San Fran (#31), LA Rams (#32..dead last), Denver (#27), Houston (#29), Cleveland (#30)!....need I say more?...
In a game of this magnitude, this is when the Pats are really going to miss Gronk...with him, I would definitely consider taking New England and laying the FG...you also have to take into account that Atlanta throttled Seattle 36 - 20 (yes, the same Seahawk team that beat the Pats in New England!)...and a red, hot, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers 44 - 21!...I'm not taking anything away from the Pats...As long as Belechick and Brady are together, the Pats will always be a formidable team...but this is Matt Ryan's MVP year and I don't think he and the Falcons will be denied...PS...if New England does happen to win, I can't wait to see the look on Roger Goddell's face when he hands the Lombardi trophy to Tom Brady!...Comment -
