Green Bay didn't cover, but both overs hit (despite "sharp" money driving the numbers down) and the Patriots rolled.
What a postseason it's been for the public. Wow.

Got a feeling they are going to get killed with this SB line. Which would pretty much sum up this season of betting the NFL.

How? Public took Green Bay and New England. So 1-1 there.
So many dopes teased both dogs up thinking no way either game would be a blowout. So of course both games were blowouts.

This. green bay was THE burial. Possibly the most money was placed on them than any other four teams

Public loves teasing down to a Pk but it seemed like more teased up than down just based off the eye test and reading/listening to people all week.

Yep. I wish the NFL would stop giving Kraft a Reacharound. It's kind of stupid seeing them in the Superbowl every year.
Refs never call defensive pass interference on New England. Never call offensive holding. Brady fumbles.... and they say play stands.
Clearly the NFL wanted New England in the Super Bowl.
This NFL product sucks.

More money wagered on pats game just because it was the late game. Public also on both overs. Maybe not as bad as last 2 weeks but they probably still won a lot

I went 12-1 on fading the Browns
It was clear that after two games they were unlikely to win a game
Made a boat load without any thought just a bit of risk

Quit making shitty lines. Pats are 15-3 ATS. Falcons went 10 for 10 with overs at home this season.
Just because the number looks large, doesn't mean it's going to scare off people. Making the same mistake with the total for the SB. They deserve to get buried.

I think the book won today, but not by much. Public went super heavy on GB in both moneyline and the spread. In the NE/PITT game, the book broke even. I don't think the book took a hit on the Over because heavy action is always on the spread.

GB/atl spread wasn't really lopsided, just the ML. Some books were rooting for an Atlanta win but not cover

Where did I say they were "going out of business"?
They got hammered last week. They lost again today, like they have all season in the NFL.
I didn't say you said that. I just said you make this same thread a lot.

Public was on GB.
Doesn't even matter what burial books took.
They'll get it back on Soccer, Tennis, NCAA Basketball, NBA.
And then they'll lose some more.
Then they'll take another huge hit on a big game.
Then they'll chip away and win some back.
And it will go on like this for the next 500 years.
The message? Never bet on a side because you think books "need" that side to survive.
If books are depending on one game, one outcome, to survive, for their business to survive, then they already lost.

For folks new to gambling like in the last 3 years love it because all the obvious plays are winning. This will be the first year I think Vegas loses in Football. They won't get lopsided action in this year Superbowl like last year to save them. For us Vet who's been doing this since 2003 or earlier, it's killing us because we are use to fading the public.

Books have been getting killed by the public all season. If that's any indicator for the super bowl, patriots and the over look easy

Read a nice comment on deadspin, in the article about the bozos that let it ride all in from 10 consecutive Packers moneyline wins. Not different than your experience:
When the Browns were 0-2 I saw the possibility of a winless season and starting betting on them to lose. Over a three month period, my initial investment of $300 had grown to $304.61 before that crushing Week 16 victory against the Chargers left me penniless.
