Aborting an unborn child is taking away any chance the kid would ever have. I think an unborn child should have rights.

You and I are men. We may have similar views but IMO it is ultimately up to the mother, not you, not me, not the government. We can debate all day when is conception. I can show you in the bible where God said in Jeremiah that "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you". So God knew us before we were even conceived. He also knew that a fetus would be aborted before it is aborted. What's the point. An unborn baby has zero rights, just like my young kids in my house have zero rights. Their is no democracy in my house. My kids do what I say. It is my way or the highway. Now I do think there should be limits, so that you can't wait for the baby to be born to bash it over the head, smother it, abort it at full term. Come on. But in the first trimester, early in the pregnancy, the woman should be able to decide. What if the baby is deformed or would have problems. Why should we burden that family if they decide to not carry that fetus to term.

We can argue all we want but it is up to the woman. You cannot force a woman to take care of a child. That is her responsibility and her decision. What if a woman decides to not eat, does everything negative to her body and the baby/fetus dies in her womb, would you be okay with that? If a woman does not want a baby, she can do many things to not have it. Why would the government get in the way of that. Forget your personal views. Society cannot and should not infringe on the people, especially woman. It's stupid to try and prevent a woman from aborting a fetus. It cost us money on the front end and when the child is born, we bare the burden for years to come. Conservatives are way off on this. Let a woman choose and let her deal with the consequences.

But, I do not think any woman would use abortion as birth control because it cost too much money, time, emotions, etc. Birth control is not fool proof and many men and woman do not practice safe sex because of emotions getting in the way at the heat of the moment. One moment of stupidity should not mean a lifetime on government assistance that WE HAVE TO PAY FOR.

I agree adoption should be easier and cheaper but now you're telling a woman to carry a baby and deliver it full term. That is a huge commitment to carry a baby for 9 months. Why would a woman want to do that when they can abort it at 9 weeks? Having a baby takes a huge toll on the body. You and I sure as hell won't do it, so why should we demand a woman to?

Yep Mac, I'm not happy with our adoption process and policies either here in America today..

As crazy as this sounds it's like this - I can walk into any animal shelter and walk out with a puppy dog for free the same day.. I'll love the dog, teach it tricks, raise it, feed it and care for it til it dies.. As a single man or woman trying to adopt a baby it's almost impossible and I understand why.. Don't wanna send a baby off with some single man perv or crazed single mother, better to have a couple adopting also for obvious reasons.

Then you have the adoption business process.. If you are trying to adopt a new born white baby in the States good luck, you better be rich, happily married, convincing and then if you are lucky you are put on a waiting list that could take years..

Now if you want an ethnic baby of color (Asian or Black) they are available to obtain MUCH easier, faster and cheaper.. Probably because there are more of them available for adoption..

If I ever get into politics that is one department I'd like to try and straighten out and clean up..
