couple weeks ago i bought at coinbase and sent immediately to wallet - for one hour they listed it as confirmed but with bogus info when i clicked on the transaction it said 600K confirmations LOL, almost like they were stalling and checking where i was sending before they ok'd it? it hit my secondary wallet over and hour later. i dont think it was blockchain delay i think they were playing games or had problems. i never had problem with circle as soon as i bought and sent it was in my other wallet.

Have a look at transaction and let us know how many Bytes it says it is and how much miners fee was paid.

Sometimes books end up sending payments with lots of small inputs and dont think to add extra miners fee.

If it has zero confirms you may be able to rebroadcast it

Sent a couple BtC deposits back on 1/6/17. had zero confirmations after 30+ hours. Finally checked again yesterday and it looks like system finally gave up and deleted the send transactions from the system. There's no trace of them all as if I never even initiated the transactions. At least the funds were returned to my account when system purged the stale transactions.

that is about 35 cents. Sounds a bit low for 900 bytes but not such a low fee that it might take ages. Probably why the delay though

Just a guess... but there is/was an attack that could be done on the blockchain where random transaction IDs would get changed. Just a vandalism attack.

What you describe is what happens when one of yours get caught by it.

I still don't understand how bytes is determined and I don't see it prior to sending in blockchain wallet which would be nice but seems anytime it is more then 225 or 226 bytes the confirmation takes longer....going through my trans it looks like most are 225 226 and 13 cents fee and get confirmed within 30 mins or faster

Nothing you can do but wait.

Advise the book about the delay so they learn to use the appropriate miner fee but nothing they can do but wait either now.

It wont be lost. It will arrive or be returned to the book.
