#37When Bama loses people will look back at Kiffin leaving and blame it on that, but that will have had nothing to do with it. Kiffin will give cheeky responses to the media and will have had the last laugh. Anyway, never liked Sarkisian, somehow he lands in great jobs no matter what.Comment -

I agree. IMO Kiffin would of made Alabama lose this game SU if he was still there. Something made Saban make the decision to do it... you have to go with your gut. But, I'll be really surprised if Sarkisian and Hurts are in-sync on every play. I just don't see how you can have amazing chemistry as a play caller... and trust your QB in certain situations. You know what I mean? Like... if something isn't working... does Sarkisian stick with the script calls... or go to his backup or secondary calls? Hurts IMO isn't an elite QB. He's young... he's not a typical USC or Washington pocket passer. I'm intrigued to see what happens tonight.Originally posted by jtolerWhen Bama loses people will look back at Kiffin leaving and blame it on that, but that will have had nothing to do with it. #39Bama's weakness (if you can call it that) is with their DB's. If, and it's a big if, Clemson's O-line can hold up and keep Watson from getting hit, then they have a good shot. I will take a replay of last year's game, great for 3.5 quarters, with a nasty back door cover haha.Originally posted by jtolerI agree Clemson's D isnt on par with Bama's, but on offense Clemson has enough wrinkles to trouble Bama. QB reads and running off tackle is the trick to keep them honest, receivers are gonna have to step up, I see alot of Watson's picks seemed to be because he trusted his receivers to do things they didnt do this year. All in all, theyve been focused on this game from the first day after losing last year, I think they have a better shot this year.Comment -

#41Sarkisian will not put Hurts in a position to lose the game. Not with Bama's Defense and Bama's strong running game. Bama only had one game in which they only won by single digits.
Clemson's defense isn't super stellar by any means. Yeah they blanked the Buckeyes, but Ohio State was already running on empty. Clemson barely beat NC STATE....couldn't slam the door on VT.....and lost to a PITT team with an AWFUL defense. On top of that, Watson is even more turnover prone this year even with his star receiver back.
I think this is a double digit win for the Tide.Comment -

#43If you follow the team closely, you know they play down to the competition and they let teams back in after having a huge lead. They outscored their opponents 176-27 in the first quarter this year. On average, they outscored their opponents by 10 points per game in the first quarter. That's insane. They were basically coasting all season long to get into the playoffs and when they got there, they beat a top 5 team 31-0. I won't fault you for thinking it's an aberration but it seems like a completely different team after that pitt loss.Originally posted by dlowillyMaybe there is a legitimate reason but I don't get it
They struggled to get by the likes of Troy, Louisville (who were exposed as mediocre), and NC State at home, and lost to Pitt
Tell me why they don't get pummeled

#45but Bama did NOT dominate Washington. It was in the 2nd half and Bama's TRASH offense wasn't doing anythingOriginally posted by El NinoClemson exposed Ohio State's shitty QB and bad O-Line. Now, everyone thinks Clemson's D and Bama's are on par with each other. Bama dominated Washington and everyone just shrugs their shoulders because it wasn't 50-7.
Bama has been keeping tight with teams for a quarter or 2, they wear you out, get a few turnovers, get pts. off those turnovers, then put you to bed. Bama's O-line wins the battle and they run all over on Clemson, keeping Watson on the sideline.
Clemson 1st half if you feel the need to bet against Bama. Bama ML all day.Comment -

#47I was thinking it was the linebackers, their db's are some tough physical guys, I think Ive heard they have some 1st rounders in the secondary, I dont hear as much from the linebackers, I could be wrong though. O.J. Howard killed Clemson last year, hopefully he's nonexistent tonight. Hurts makes mistakes, Id expect them not to have him making too many passing risks, but at some point he's gonna have to I think, if Hurts played last year Id suspect theyd lost that game, whats gonna happen when/if they get behind and he has to make throws downfield?Originally posted by El NinoBama's weakness (if you can call it that) is with their DB's. #49As I said I could be wrong, games Ive watched i just dont remember hearing too much about them, I saw the other day a guy who won a defensive award other than Allen so I guess he was one of the linebackers. I now see Foster, Williams not as touted, perhaps with early arrest?Originally posted by Time is MoneyYou're kidding, right? Foster and Williams both top 15 locks and play linebacker.Comment -

#50Lol what game were you watching. Washington scored and Alabama figured out their offense and pounced right after. Everyone making the case for Clemson having a shot because they saw the Alabama defense last year. Same argument can be made for bama defense. #55Florida was favored by 6 when they played Oklahoma in the 2009 BCS title game, not a 7 point dog. Florida was a 7 point dog to Ohio State in 2007, but Chris Leak was their starting QB, and Tebow a little used freshman back up. So either way, you look like an idiot.Originally posted by unde0087This game reminds me of years ago when Oklahoma was favored by 7 against Florida and Tim Tebow. No one gave the gators a chance and we all know how that turned out.Comment -

They can match up with bama in the trenches and have a massive advantage at qb.
