    -16.5 vs the Texans.

I'd be all over the Texans at that. The only way to beat Brady is to have a strong pass rush, and the Texans have that.

The Patriots are currently 16-point favorites against the Texans in Saturday's AFC divisional playoff matchup, making New England one of the biggest playoff favorites of the past 40 years.

The Patriots were listed as -1,800 favorites to win the game straight up at William Hill's Nevada sportsbook, meaning you'd need to risk $1,800 to win $100 on a New England victory. It was worthwhile for one bettor, who on Sunday put $1,226.80 on the Patriots to beat the Texans straight up for a chance at a $68.15 profit, according to William Hill.

I think the article could be mistaken.

In the undefeated season against San diego in the championship game, I could have swore the line was similar.

yes, the texans suck that bad.....

i thought it was outrageous as well, until i recalled that game earlier this season...... you know, the one where the texans played the patriots on the "big stage," in front of a national audience......

after that memory, I think I should bet the farm on the pats.....

a little refresher course for you:

sure, texans have a more cohesive defense than they did in week 3, but don't expect shit out of their offense..... another goose egg is a real posibility absent a pick six or deep turnover that produces a measly field goal.....

and no matter how good the texans d may play, they are giving up at least three scores absent turnovers. throw in the texans giving up at least one or two turnovers on the road, producing a couple easier scores, this game could easily be in the 27-3 to 27-10 range....

I'd rather take the Houston ML than the Patriots spread.

It takes just one garbage-time touchdown to ruin it.

going back to 79, without pastorini and earl, houston was a 20 pt plus dog to san diego.......

we all know how that ended......

well, as most of you probably don't, I'll play the totally awesome fight song of the winning team now:

and for sbr resident dimwits chi arch and greased lightnin'/kenicki, yes, I know it's the worst f'n team song ever come up with.....
