its basically a non factor. go back to multiple NEW YEar's Bowl games match up some great teams and quit this obsession with WE NEED a COLLEGE Champion. what difference does it really make? nobody cares anyway, there is no Buzz for this game when even is it? Monday?

I liked it the old way to be honest teams having to run up the score.

So much wasted time spent talking about college playoffs. 75% of the time the games suck anyways. Ie this year both semifinal games horrible. Neither game competitive. Last year 38-0 alabama. Clemson blew out oklahoma. Its just for the media to have something to talk about

I agree but I think I will get the feeling back - I lose a little zip waiting for the Super Bowl as well. But, it is the national championship game and it more or less is a celebration of the entire season - the ring - the what all the players dream about and play for.

The rose bowl was the best game by far this year and has to be high up there on the all time list. Over 100 total points with multiple double digit lead changes and it came down to a buzzer beater 50 yard FG

Plus, Max Browne was the USC starter week 1 so yes if Darnold played the game would have been much different.
