1. I consider BCH a legitimate contender for the bitcoin name. I consider bitcoin's *failure* to raise block sizes to keep fees reasonable to be a large (non-consensual) change to the "original plan", morally tantamount to a hard fork.

#2246the volatility gets me excited.. I also leave a balance in my usd wallet to buy during times like earlier tonight.. these markets are so easy to make money with. This is not the lottery or penny stocks by any stretch and anyone who thinking that should probably find something else to invest in.Comment -

I do think we could see a dip into $15k but I think the new resistance level will be around $23k. We should see it go higher in the next 2 weeks.Comment -

I'm pissed off that Bitcoin is dropping... but... it's not an emergency yet.
I also don't trust 70-80% of the articles at CoinDesk. Half the sh#$ is amusement.

#2250If it drops below 15k.... might want to get the emergency button warmed up. At least check to see if it's working.Comment -

I don't pretend to know why or what they are thinking, but can imagine the price trading so high and miners making so much might be seen as proof they have the direction right to them.
I don't really care though. There probably is a place for a store of value crypto like Bitcoin appears to want to be and they probably do udnerstand how to keep the traded price up as well.
What I'd like to see is a decisive move for another crypto to become the default standard for money movement... at least small amounts of money. Retail payments.
Before the market gets convoluted by too many attempting to be the same thing..Comment -

#2255There does not appear to be the will to reduce fees/times at BitcoinCore.

#2256About 3 years back, before I even found this forum, I lost $20,000 betting sports and guess how I funded said sports account? Using bitcoin of course. I just went back and looked at my transactions because of all the activity recently and I would be almost a bitcoin millionaire right now If I would of just left the coin sitting instead of blowing it on sports having no clue what I was doing at the time. I want to hit myself in the face right now.

#2274Maybe a silly question but what exactly are they planning to do with all these unconfirmed transactions? I remember when seeing 20k and thinking the network was backed up. I've now had a deposit unconfirmed for 5 days at 102 sat/b where if you want to send regular/priority its 1000/1200 now.Comment -
