ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that head coach Chip Kelly along with Trent Baalke would be fired after today’s game. Before Kelly arrived in San Francisco, he won 26 games in three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was only the second head coach in 49ers franchise history to come on as head coach that had already served as a head coach with another organization previously.

It was a dumb hire to begin with given all the player complaints against him in Philly. If you liked a guy enough to bring him on, normally it would be crazy to let him go after 1 season regardless of record. I think in this case they are right to cut their losses and move on though.Comment -

Funny, Chip has a great reputation and following among some top coaches.
Was innovative and fun to play for in College.
He should have taken a year off after Philly (a la Pete Carrol) and might have found a team he could have been successful with.

Good I hope he gets fired. He sucks. He wasnt innovative at all. He had success the first 8 games in phily when Vick was there and then it was downhill after that. He needs to go back to cfb at a school where his black guys are faster than the opponents black guys and then he will look like an offensive genius againComment
