    Getting Bit Coin to USD
I am new to bit coin. Is there a way to get bit coin transferred to USD than into a bank account?
Are there any retail stores that accept bit coin?

If you want to spend it on goods then a bitpay.com card is probably what you want.

Withdraw from ATMs or buy goods with it like a normal Vsa card. But load it with bitcoin.

You could just get a bitcoin deposit address from one of your books

I agree. I use gyft all the time with bitcoin. They load card to your phone instantly then just pay at the store using your phone at checkout. I don't think there really are any stores that accept Bitcoin directly. Gyft is the best option.

                  Unfortunately I'm in too deep.

Did he really mean it could be that easy - just get BTP prize sent from SBR straight to book???? I assumed we had to go by way of a wallet.

Yes that's what he meant...you can use any address from anywhere.

If it was me, I would use the address from my own wallet though and not book, because you have more control of the actual address string.

                            sign up for a wallet

                            receive btc

go to btc atm and cash out

no bank account or id needed

don't send directly to the book

Basically echoing RR's sentiment about QC. The books do not generate new addresses to receive for every single transaction. I would be concerned over a mixup. I suppose if you are going to have a website sending on your behalf then SBR would be the one, but I don't see the downside for creating a wallet and handling the transaction yourself.

It is that easy but I only mentioned that as Donk was being a baby about it, like its all too difficult.

As the other guys say above, if you send direct from SBR to Book it's just a pain in the ass for everyone if anything goes wrong.

The best way to go is just spend the 30 seconds it takes to open a blockchain.info/wallet and have SBR send it there. And then send it on to a book or whatever.

Added advantage is that you will now have a wallet ready and the basic experience of how it works if ever needed again.

I'm new to this bitcoin as well. So, if I set up the wallet do I need to set up the exchange before that so I can send back to it if I want to convert to USD?? I read that SBR is transferring funds Tuesday am and was going to set this up tonight. Thanks for any input!

Not necessarily, but it is recommended to setup an account on exchange as well.

Some of the wallets like https://www.snapcard.io/ will allow you to convert BTC to USD and transfer it directly to your checking acct. These type of wallets usually come with worse exchange rates, than what you would normally get at the exchange.

It is always good to have 2-3 wallets and 2-3 exchanges readily available at your disposal. If one goes down you can quickly switch to another one. Opening up an acct doesn't cost anything - all you gotta do is verify your acct and you should be good to go.

Happy New Year to you too! and Yes that's a setup that I have here.

Opening an acct you can do at anytime online, however verifying CC and or your bank acct might take a few business days (you don't need to have that fully setup to receive or send BTC...just to buy)

Withdraw from ATMs or buy goods with it like a normal Vsa card. But load it with bitcoin.
Opti... Let me ask you a question. What is keeping people from buying BTC with a CC and then going and disputing the transaction? It you took the CC payment would you have any recourse?

That's the risk every place that sells to card holders take. Coinbase reduce the risk by requiring lots of ID and will obviously make a credit report if you do it to them. Other places have large fees to help them cope with it.
