I am somewhat poor but make some coin pre election. Now ot sure what to buy. May have missed the boat. Probably going to try and gamble with sports instead

I am trying my hand at PTP lending ala Prosper/Lending Club. Sure beats cash sitting in a money market at 1%. Diversify enough with small increment loans and looks like you can earn a decent return.

You do as lender. I've been doing lending club for a few years. Did a portfolio where I was uber conservative and made a decent return. My second one was more aggressive and not surprisingly my returns have dropped. In theory if everyone pays you get better returns but my more aggressive (loans to c+d grade requests) hasn't done well last few months. More people defaulting or missing payments.
