Real stations like these don't use a quota and look for unqualified blacks, latinos, gays, women, and sports stars to do the commentating, and actually hire the best available for the most part, and that is why there are so many good ones.
Every once in a while they get stuck with dead weight with someone like Joe Buck or Tim McCarver, but it's very rare.

ESPN refuses to take notes and hire the best available, which is why is it basically unwatchable these days.
At least Vern will still be doing March Madness.
