Matsuyama paying 11 for 2, to win a Major, seems great value right now
These odds, from 5dimes today, do not seem to be taking into account what Matsuyama has been doing recently and the past couple of years. Imo, he is coming on strong and will be the number 1 golfer in the world soon. At past Majors he would falter in one aspect of his game (frequently his putter), but of late he is CONSISTENTLY playing great golf and his focus is 20-10. Imo, he should be the shortest odds on this list. He's not just THE hot golfer, he's been coming on for a couple of years and hasn't even hit his prime age yet (25 this coming February) - he could have a year for the ages. Get on Matsuyama quick -this lazy line (mostly corresponding to PGA rank) will move soon.

I don't agree that it's great value... he is consistently 25-1 and higher in majors... seems to be close to correct odds, undervalued if anything, no matter how hot he is, theres a handful of guys who will always be ahead of him in odds

Couldn't agree more Dan. He has been one of the best iron players and scorers since joining tour. In four tournaments since 10/23/16 he has 2 wins, a 2nd, and a T6. (Although the Hero and HANDA are unofficial events) I don't think it will be much longer before his odds start skyrocketing in most events.

The Masters is his best shot. He always fades away Sunday though. His 2nd round scoring average was 72 last season. He needs to shore up a lot of his leaks still. Nonetheless, he's made me a lot of money and I will be rooting for him.

By the Masters, he'll be 8-1 to win it.
