This is the 'scientific' opinion. When in reality, betting is much more of an art than a science. So many variables ignored by people of this opinion..tilting, chasing, betting more games than you otherwise would etc etc. The theory of spot playing definitely has merit. I occasionally will literally go all in or bet a ridiculous portion of my bankroll on a game because I literally KNOW it will win. And I can't remember that last time I lost one of these type of games. These are the only games that should be played.

I see your point and would never argue with someone who is getting it done. That being said we do not want to be lucky - we want to be good. JJ is getting this done - is he lucky or good? All he has to do is lose about 4 games in a row and sitting on zero and lose 4 months of work.

Whatever his methodology and bet selection criteria are - he is surviving. How much work and time is he putting into the project? People make more than $1000 a month at minimum wage jobs slinging burgers at Mickey D's so is it all worth it? The guy at Mickey D's would be pissed if he had to give his pay checks back?

If you were using Kelly on this - past results are +ev - about the time a guy would go to 2k a bet - he would lose 4 in a row for sure???
