Zimmer lost this game with more awful coaching. First, they have no confidence in the offense by letting the clock run on 2 short completions and no hurry-up. Then, once the Vikings got that penalty on 3rd down, they should have just run the ball at 38 seconds left and punted. Even if they converted that short pass, it was short and they only had one TO anyways. No way they were scoring on that last possession once they wasted so much clock.

They're playing not to lose, then run a big-risk pass play with no reward for success.
