Mexico City Elevation 7382 feet for MNF
That will play into effect on both teams as this will be tbe highest altitude a NFL team will play in this season .Remember Denver Co is
5130 feet. Does that help either side of the Ball?. Will that effect whos defense more..who is deeper on the Bench. Oakland and Houston tonight will both teams be gassed. Speaking if being gassed the air pollution is so bad at times in that city that sometimes you cant even see across the street...wow NFL you picked a great place to play .
    Thought?

Harry a couple quick thoughts in my own words about the subject as I enjoy my morning cup of coffee.....The effects of high altitude on humans are considerable. The percentage oxygen saturation of hemoglobin determines the content of oxygen in blood. After the human body reaches around 2,100 m (7,000 feet) above sea level, the saturation of oxyhemoglobin begins to plummet. However, the human body has both short-term and long-term adaptations to altitude that allow it to partially compensate for the lack of oxygen. Athletes use these adaptations to help their performance. There is a limit to the level of adaptation; mountaineers refer to the altitudes above 8,000 metres (26,000 ft) as the "death zone", where it is generally believed that no human body can acclimatize......with all that being said...no lean tonight....good luck

Harry, not a bad thought. My opinion:

          * The dominant unit in game = OAK off line. Think they'll wear down Hou Def Line.

OAK wins Time of Possession and has edge in game.

Hard to imagine nearly 7400 feet and its only snowed twice there since 1940.

Definitely takes more than a few days to acclimatize to altitude like that. Takes about 2 weeks for someone to acclimate to a place like Colorado

I have been in Mexixo City for a few days and my body is still trying to adapt to the elevation, pollution, and colder weather. Probably mid 50's at game time.

I think I will lay off betting this one and just enjoy the game.

Oakland is used to playing in smog that is thicker than syrup, a little elevation won't affect them.

                                  Houston on the other hand....

Can we get Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel for his analyst before the game starts?

My belief is that the conditions favor more scoring. DB's will get tired with Carr going deep often. Small sample size of games played in Mexico City, but last time there were a lot yards gained and should have been more points if not for the field goals. http://www.espn.com/nfl/game?gameId=251002022
I'm taking the alternate over of 55.5 +300

Texans did well with time of possession on that first drive. I'm sure they would have preferred the shorter TOP, and TD by Hopkins though.
