For what it's worth, here's a somewhat accurate list of line originators in Nevada.
It's not like it used to be with book managers these days. Many of the books have consolidated and formed conglomerates. These guys in Lake Tahoe are completely subject to the Vegas line.
If Harrah's and others in Tahoe start getting heavy "local" action on Golden St. and teams like the SF Giants, these books are left out to dry. They can not adjust the line, all movement comes out of Vegas.
One time, in Harrah's (and Harvey's) Lake Tahoe I brought up a significant line discrepancy that was on the big electronic board to the manager. They called him over to Harrah's from across the street. They kept me there until he came over. When he finally came we talked at length at how it used to be and is now.
He called Vegas, and eventually the board was adjusted, but it had to come from Vegas. The job description of a sportsbook manager has changed for sure.
The books up here can be extremely one sided because of the recent success of the Northern California teams, and they just have to take it as the line movement is corporate now.
