But if he doesn't agree with either presidential candidate then who would he vote for? Doesn't he have a right to protest our Racist society? Although I think black people are wayyy more racist

#37Never gonna happen (and shouldn't, reasons why already stated by Capy). One, these owners are playing/practicing in taxpayer funded stadiums/facilities, so fuk them. Two, as soon as a player of said stature is cut 31 others are standing in line to sign him. Professional sports owners as a whole would sign Charles Manson if he makes them a buck. You've got to do something heinous and have it captured on film. I would suggest people quit getting so bent out of shape over something so insignificant. Probably wasn't the brightest thing to do, but then again I'm sure most of you had it all figured out at 23 years old. I'd be much more concerned with all the same old establishment hacks being recycled into the new administration. Where's all the outrage over that?

#42First of all, I don't know why I'm even gonna get into a discussion with you when you just called more than 50% of America "whiny bitches" and "a bunch of queers." Basically pointless. But whatever, will only take me minute.
I actually added more to my post you replied to.
Anyway, a few points: No, the majority of this country doesn't want Trump to be POTUS, he lost the popular vote. But whatever, we have this weird system. Secondly, NO, staging protests does NOT go against everything the USA stands for; in fact, it is EXACTLY what the USA stands for: The right to dissent. Hello, that's how the USA even exists, did you realize that?
Lol, they want to throw a fit? All the guy did is sit for the friggin anthem. I didn't say this above, but it's actually a little bit oppressive to even MAKE someone stand and sing along to their country's song... I mean ideally we all want to do it, and I think most Americans usually like being a community, together, patriotic. But in the wake of something as DISTURBING to SO many people as: A person being elected PRESIDENT on a campaign of exclusivity, xenophobia, racism, and white nationalism, if the guy doesn't feel like standing with his friggin heart over his chest to show he loves his country right now, umm, yeah I get that!!!
Obviously it doesn't get anyone anywhere to just whine -- a lot more needs to be done by rational people to make sure the country doesn't go down the tubes now... but I'm just saying that it makes perfect sense why plenty of people may not feel like being all patriotic right about now! But STILL..... all these clowns who didn't even frickin vote.... THEY lost their right to dissent and protest, in my opinion. That's just moronic, as I said.Comment -

If he wants to help then start a foundation to help young under privileged kids/families, work with a legislator to better laws, or try voting in the fukin election next time. #45^ Good point that they are in a no win situation, but they are in that no-win because the particular guys and the community aren't man enough or intelligent enough to know or admit that throwing money at people means nothing. The family structure that provides the virtues in life: integrity, work ethic, character, etc --- these are unrelated to having money. Some wealthy people have them, some poor people have them; both rich and poor alike have people that don't have those virtues. Consequently, the only real "progress" that will be made will be when those who believe in hard work and reject the government as the new father become the new examples. Sadly, these are few and far between, so it's another lose-lose situation, especially when you look at people as groups, which implies victimization and lack of accountability. When calling people out from your "group" for promoting failed policies or qualities is made difficult or near impossible because they label you a "traitor" or some other stupid term like "Uncle Tom" (and those are lies) you will NEVER get better.
What's more, the guy taking a piss during the national anthem isn't in a position to get notoriety, the media doesn't care about him, he has no responsibility in that [larger] regard. While I agree with you it says something about that person, it is in a small way, because he is responsible for so much less. Things change when you are in the public eye; it is like when the famous act like they deserve a perfectly private life after living and making a living (a huge one) on a public life of notoriety --- it doesn't work that way. You get all that comes with it when you decide to be the big man on campus.Comment -

#46No, actually it is those who are protesting him that are fukkin retards.
We live in a democracy. There was a vote. The majority of this country wants Trump to be the POTUS. It's fine if you didn't want that, but to stage protests because your choice lost goes agaisnt everything the USA stands for. It also shows what a bunch of fukkin whiny bitches there are that didn't want Trump. They didn't get their way, so now they want to throw a fit and cry with one another in safe spaces like a bunch of queers.
Trust me....
LMAO.
Not voting by the way doesn't mean you lose your right to opinion or protest.
In fact some might say the opposite

#52I get and respect that Unde, wasn't ragging on you. The fact is, most of these players who are "protesting" in some way or another do have foundations/charities for underprivileged youth, etc. Scan the sections in most stadiums and you'll see the various banners for their respective groups. I know they do here in Tampa. That gets zero attention because it doesn't piss off anyone. And I don't believe most are speaking about themselves but those that are less fortunate. People tend to associate/identify with those that are like them, makes sense that a black athlete would stand up for black people. That's true across all races/nationalities. Fact is these guys get hammered by their own for being in position to affect social change and not doing anything, then when they do stand up for something (no matter how trivial) they get hammered again. No win situation. The guy's 23 years old. It's funny, I never see the same outrage directed towards all the people standing in line to buy beer/food/take a piss while the anthem's being played. An anthem thats for the most part play for pay (with tax dollars) because few do it for love of country (i.e. free). But that's another story. Just a different perspective.
As I stated before, I don't call him out because I don't believe in being able to express ones self, it's how you go about it. All I see from these athletes is self pity instead of talking about how we change things. Sitting for 2 minutes before a game isn't doing a damn thing to help ease racial tensions in America. It is actually doing the exact opposite so what Kap and now Evans have done is piss off more Americans that might have wanted to help or at least supported their cause. It just shows what America has become: Complain about everything but do nothing. America, just in the last 20 years, has become a place for a bunch of panzies ass, cry baby, free loading pussies. These type of acts just make it public for everyone to see. Whatever happened to working for something and taking accountability for your actions?
This whole thing reminds me of something I saw posted on facebook a year or so ago that is so true and shows just how entitled, misguided, and pussy youth is today. It said something to the affect of in the 1940s young men 18+ were signing up to fight and die for freedom, meanwhile in 2000s, youth need a safe space to avoid getting their feelings hurt. These are sad times, when the people that want to actually make a difference are now all but gone and the people who just want to complain are many.

#57Just reading the comments some of you guys make just reassures me why they should protest even more. You call them clowns for protesting the anthem but don't want to acknowledge what they are protesting for. The song was written by a racist, has racist original lyrics and honestly doesn't speak for any person of color if you look at the history of America. Since you want to say they are dissing the military that fight for their freedoms please tell me what war did our military fight to give people of color in this country freedom and equality. I would love to know because if i recall history people like Malcom and Martin were the ones responsible for rights not any damn military. We can take it back further to pioneers like Harriet and Nat turner who led revolts and freed slaves. They actually gave people hope to one day be free of the oppression this country has placed upon people of color. I ask again what war or military operation gave people of color in this country freedom, rights, and equality. Ill wait.Comment -

The civil war gave freedom to black slaves.
Legislation has given rights and equality.

#68I was waiting for some idiot to say civil war lol. So tell me this. After the Civil War why were African Americans still not granted the same rights as white people. Africans became victims of Jim crow laws. Some were still in slavery in the south. Segregation. The list goes on and on so please spare me with the civil war reference. African Americans only fought in that war because the North promised them freedom. The only reason the civil war happened was because the North wanted to limit the growth and economic power of the South because they had the free labor of slavery not because America finally realized it was wrong. Do your research buddy. African Americans were just granted basic human and civil rights in the 60s which is really not that far from now. Yea those presidents passed the laws but only after African Americans pressured them with protests during the Civil rights era. I doubt they would have done it if we didn't fight for it.Comment
