No choice but to be positive now
I'm a conservative who didn't vote, but loves his country. Just for the record.

I'm also an eternal optimist, mainly because I shun negative people, because they contribute nothing, don't amount to much, and love to take you down with them.

So here are the positives I'm taking away from a Trump victory...

    - I believe a rising tide lifts all boats. The only way bad areas recover are from an influx of jobs. Trump gets that too. Democrats never ever have. Decreasing globalization will help get us there faster. Getting bad areas and cities out of the shit makes us all better for it.

    - Nobody in the USA liked where our country was. DRASTIC measures are needed to unfukk things, and everybody who has been president in the past, and Hillary, were way too soft. Being soft leads to special interest groups that are only in it for their own gains, not the gains of America. A Trump presidency will benefit some special interest groups I'm sure, but he won't stand for the bullying and fukkery of what they have done to this country over the past decades.

    - I think people's fears have run way too wild when it comes to what people think Trump is going to do. Remember, fear is a tactic used to manipulate and control, and it has worked on you time and time again. Most of Hillary's campaign was not what she was actually going to do, but what you should fear from a Trump presidency. The fearless vote was Trump, and America responded. A step in the right direction at least.

    - Most foreigners actually think that most Americans voted for Donald Trump the man, when it was primarily America voting against the status quo and the woman would have ended up representing it. This is one of the many reasons Americans do not and should not value the opinions of those who don't live here -- they're not even valid half the time, and they're the result of what their own media wants to portray us as anyway. They're just as guilty of falling for propaganda as we are. We as a people don't tell other countries what to do, and they should reciprocate. I'm glad they're pissed off. I'm glad they're dismissing us as apes. So you'll leave us alone then? Promise?

    - I don't like Putin, but I think working with Russia is very beneficial for a lot of reasons. We have a way better chance at forming a stronger relationship now.

    - His speech tonight showed a better side of him that most of us didn't know existed. It's good to know it was there. If the over-the-top yammering was nothing more than a campaign tactic, then well done sir.

I can't predict the future, and you can't either. But it's if anything going to be a super-interesting 4 years. If I wanted dull, I'd move to a socialist country.

        Well said Ralphie.

After reading your post and listening to his speech, my shock and fear is turning into optimism. I think he might be up to the task. My only concern is that I fear a looming economic crisis could get in the way.

Donald Trump has a major decision in the Syrian War:
Either continue Obama's CIA funding of the Syrian rebels against Assad of Syria
or stop funding the Syrian rebels and ally with Assad of Syria and Putin of Russia to attack both the Syrian rebels and ISIS.
Syria has been in war since 2011.

No, we dont know that. All we can hope for now is that he surrounds himself with the most capable advisors and other assorted government officials to put his plans into action. He cant do it alone. Lets hope the Dems and Repubs that vilified him can put their beefs aside and work with the man.

He can talk the talk, lets see if he walks the walk. I hope for the sake of the country he wasnt writing checks with his mouth that his ass cant cash.

That crisis was coming regardless. And it may not even come yet. The UK economy did the same thing after Brexit, then recovered in a week. As of right now, the Dow is up on the day.

It's essential in business or management, you have competent people under you . He's wise enough to surround himself with people who , " not only know but understand " the issues we face .
Healthcare , National Debt , inner cities destroyed , race relations . That's just some of them, there's more
He's been in business , he understands you're only good as the people who work for you . He'll be asking for help from people who can work to fix these issues.
