You will know that Trump has won PA, NC, FL, VA, OH, WV, GA, SC, MI, KY, MS, AL, NH, IN before your bedtime - that is all you need to know

Depends on your state. Some open at 6am and close at 9pm. Most go 8 to 8. 3 hours difference between
east and west coast. Midnight until 2am will tell the winner unless it's a blow out and we will know by midnight.

One candidate I know of will cry rigged and call for a recount.

Depends. If trump wins early states, then you have to wait for Nevada and Colorado. Unless he runs the table.

In 2012 the election was called for Obama at 11:38pm est. In 2008, it was not nearly as close and was earlier.

It just depends on how close it is. If it is within one state that is relatively close, then it will be a much longer night. If it hinges on Florida, then god help us all.

I'm in Florida. Already voted. Did my part to make America great again. He will easily carry brevard county where I live but needs Miami and Tampa areas.

I think this one will go past Midnight EST. Just my opinion, I could be wrong, but Colorado, Arizona and Nevada will all be key unless something really strange happens. Those polls close later there so we'll have to wait. Also there's a good chance one of the key toss up states, like Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina or Florida could be really tight and a recount necessary. Could be a tie also, though not likely, it is possible. If that happens it'll be like 2000 again. Is there a prop up on what time the election will be called anywhere?

Those western states will only matter if Trump wins both Florida and North Carolina. If he loses one of those, it's a short night. Or Ohio, but he'll probably win there.
