              I have the Indians at +165 for the series. I think I'm gonna let it ride.

              I had them at +700 to win in 6, so shout out to the Indians OF for skewing the game in the first inning...Tomlin should have been out of the 1st with about 10 pitches, down 1-0. Instead its 3-0 and he's shot mentally. Skewed the pitching for the rest of the game.

                    11:15am and already we have todays stupidest post. It's all relative. If you play big, you win and lose big. If you play small you win and lose small. Hedging for a dollar means you're coming out on top and that is the ultimate goal.

                          people that have done the math insist that by hedging you lose money long term

                          im not a math guy but it makes sense to me

                          long term some bets you hedge would have won and some would have lost, and by hedging you are paying a ton of juice in the process

                          so i'd agree with the other guy, unless you have a really high price on one of the teams and hedging will not cost you much, its probably not a winning strategy

                            I have not heard this before. You don't know the outcome of an event. By hedging you are walking away with a guaranteed profit.

                              none the less, if you hedge you will make less profit long term, or make a bigger loss long term

                              by betting on both sides you pay the juice twice

                              hedging doesnt really matter if you are a recreational gambler, but assuming your goal is to make money from betting and follow sound bankroll management, hedging your bets will eat at your bankroll in the long run exactly because you pay the juice on both teams

                                My rule of thumb is simple:;

                                Hedge only for the cost of the original ticket.

                                This way you do not walk away a loser.

                                Never understand ppl hedging to begin with,,ie: 5 team parlay only to want to hedge out team 5.

                                Why put them on the ticket in the first place?

                                  Sober me now says no I won't hedge. 5 hours from now with some drinks in me it's just as likely I hedge or just double down on Cleveland.

                                      Unfortunately yes...-340 with a 3-1 lead looked great at the time. At least I parlayed and didn't eat that massive juice.

                                      Now I'm debating on what to do as well. Best of luck to everyone!
