Could The Chicago Cubs Lose 3 Straight At Home In The Playoffs?
Just taking a quick survey. Is it possible?

I don't know how to calculate those odds, but I'd subjectively say about 20% chance of that happening.

Why not??? Longest drought in MLB history. Only team to be shut out 4 X in playoffs since 1905. At this point, kind of hope Cleveland sweeps them, at their house. Maybe "Mad"don isn't the great genius everybody thinks he is LOL.
Pretty sad when your best hitter is coming back & hasn't played since April, and now, they won't let him play in the outfield??? Still not 100 % I guess. What a joke if they do blow off this series.

When was the last time the Cubs won a series down 2-1?
Oh wait, that was a week ago.
As I said in those many threads, SBR posters are kings of premature ejaculators.

Seemed to me last night more little breaks were going Cubbies way.
Indians had so many chances.
Tonight, can the home plate ump keep giving the Cubs pitchers those "suspect" strikes?
I just want to see Theo cry like the little bitch he is.
Let the Cubs win 109 next year, and lose again. Great story line.

Man, can't even answer a silly question in a silly survey without getting jumped on by the SBR "mobsters".

Pretty easy to calculate the odds. It's a parlay of Indians winning Games 4 and 5. Project Game 5 line, mutliply times Game 4 and there's your answer.
20% is too high. Closer to 15%.

it would be great if he did throw out the first pitch
he should flip off the crowd and put an Indians hat on beforehand

I was right about the movement. It was 7.5 when I said to hit and it closed U8.5+100. Could have hedged back for free money. My guarantee was that the number would move up, not that it would win.

Thanks for sharing that formula, D2B.
Would this be right: Lets say the we knew the CUBS were gonna be (-150) for their next 3 games.
Would that be: .67 X .67 X.67 = .30
So into words that would translate: "There's a 30% chance the CUBS will win 3 straight games."

No. -150 is .60, not .67.
If the Cubs were -150 each of the next 3, then it would be .6*.6*.6=21.6% chance to win 3 straight.
But Lester at home vs. ? is more like -200 at least. And then Game 6 Arrieta at (Tomlin on short rest?) is probably Cubs small fave. And today is about -130.
So it's more like .57*.67*.54=20.6%. Cubs have a 20.6% chance of winning the next 3. Indians are about 17% to win the next 2.
Probably a good 35-40% chance this series goes the distance.

I have to take Cubs Game 5.
It's simply embarrassing to lose 3 straight in the World Series at Home.
Why would Cleveland want to win the Championship in Chicago??? Not going to happen.
Laying probably around 1k on the Cubs. Game 5.

Word has it that Bartman is cursing them again. He's sitting at home sticking pins in Cubs bobble heads every time they come to the plate.
