It's costs the big 3 (BK, Mickey D's Wendy's) 8.5 cents from what I read for that 1.99 coke you are drinking.
They buy the syrup in mega bulk, mix it with seltzer like whatever that they pay pennies for that they also buy by the tons.......
Most of that 8.5 cents cost is in the cups they buy (also in mega bulk)
That's it, they pay a dime for what you are paying 2 bucks to drink.
A buddy of mine who I haven't been in touch with in a while owns a restaurant.
He tells me that his biggest profit margin is in the pasta.
He buys his pasta in bulk, for less than a quarter a pound .22 cents I think he said.
The sauces aren't that expensive, he used to tell me that 13.99 pasta dish you are enjoying costs him less than 2 bucks.
(However he has overhead, like cooks to pay, stuff like that)Comment -
