that's besides the point, they lost...period....and how do you know which teams can and can't hang with Alabama?!...you don't...it's all about ratings and marketing...they wan't to keep OSU relevant because of the big rivalry game with Michigan coming up at the end of the season......If OSU is not in the picture, then ratings go down and nobody really cares about the game anymore outside of the fan bases....PS...both LSU (Nov.5th) and Auburn (in the Iron bowl) have a legit shot to knock off the tide.

Ohio State has no reason to be dejected, they know they will still be in the Playoff if they win the rest of their games, making the Penn State loss virtually meaningless.

I hear ya LT...and that was basically my point for this thread...the fact that OSU wasn't penalized enough for losing to a mediocre Penn ST squad that hasn't been ranked for almost 4 years...they should have dropped at least 7 spots minimum.......PS...can't wait for the chaos if Alabama loses one, Clemson loses one, Michigan loses one...basically no undefeated teams left at the end of the season...looks like Washington Huskies toughest obstacle will be Wazzu in the apple cup, and Boise St survived another major scare from BYU and now it looks like they will run table and finish undefeated.
