Anyone have an explanation for this? I saw this and thought Ruiz must have good numbers vs Lester. Nope, not the case. He's 0-14 lifetime.

At least he's had a little success vs Lester in the past. Ruiz splits vs lefties are much better but again, zero success in the past vs Lester. Very odd move.

Maybe bcuz Ruiz bats right and Grandal bats better left side. Roberts is trying to get as many right hand batters in the lineup.

not sure why 4 hole but maybe Roberts knows something with ruiz catching.......no sample size so it's impossible to tell....but Chavez ravine at night could play well into maeda's abilities if he keeps the ball on the ground the dodgers are built to grind out and win these NL style games at home....best 6th-9th @ home against opponents runs scored

            maeda's number with catchers

Innovation, good stats, but Grandal has more games with Maeda rather than Ruiz with just catching 1 game.

yep, that's why I said zero sample size and maybe skipper knows something....because I don't

what ever his lineup reasons are I hope someone asks after the game is over.....just doesn't make much sense to me
