Dodgers Nats game 5: How can you take the over here?
Total at 7 -107/-107 (nitrogen). Both teams are going to be pulling out all of the stops, pitching wise, regardless of the score. Under 7 is the way to go imho.

I bought the hook and took over 6.5. I see a 4-3, 5-3 type of game. These pitchers are good, but vulnerable. We remember Hill getting rocked. Scherzer's last 3 games, he has an era of 5.82 and a 1.412 WHIP. All of their games played in the postseason have been 7 or more. So i would say taking the over 7 would be the more logical choice based purely off stats. While yes, you can expect the pitches to be on point tonight, so can the bats. Everyone will be looking for that go-ahead hit. The 2 or 3 run homer that changes the momentum of the game. I think the offense matters more in this game tonight. just my 2 cents. BOL.

Dodgers are sending a guy to the mound that is 0-2 with a 8.59 ERA in the postseason. I expect Nats to get 5 or 6 runs by themselves. Hill is not good and will not be able to handle this situation

Hill is one of the best pitchers in the game the last 10 years in regards to slugging percentage and hitting strike zone. He had a couple walks, hit batters and random homerun last game for the loss. Don't expect the same this game. Under 7 and lad +1.5

What you are talking about is regular season games and minor league games, not game 5 of a win or go home game on the road, surely the 0-2 8.59 ERA postseason career screams this

Can't see the dodgers letting hill give up too many runs. Same with Scherzer. Both will be on a tight leash. Nats are a fav and for good reason. We might only see 8.5 innings tonight. Both bps are legit.

via my sportsoptions service:
"Hill is expected to start, but manager Dave Roberts asserted that 20-year-old rookie Julio Urias is also part of the Game 5 pitching plan. "I think that we talked about Rich as an option, obviously, but so is Julio and how we want to strategize to win Game 5," Roberts said at a press conference. "We're going to talk through it but it's nice now that we didn't have to go to Julio (in Game 4), so he's certainly an option." Hill lasted only 4 1/3 innings while losing Game 2, giving up four runs and six hits while striking out seven"
Roberts is not going to let Hill allow too much damage. Not saying that Urias is going to be a life vest, but every pitcher is on a tight leash tonight.

another interesting tidbit from sportsoptions:
"Washington manager Dusty Baker has lost a major-league record eight consecutive postseason games when a victory would have advanced the team he was guiding"

could be an angle if they bring Urias in a high pressure situation. Some food for thought

I feel good with my under bet @ -107. Just a standard play. Was considering putting more on it, but wanted to see others' take on it. Going to stand pat as I don't want to pay to play at the current price.

sportsoptions with a steam play notice on the under. CRIS moved to 6.5. That's a significant move off 7.

At least manny cashed. Brutal 7th inning. From there on, got lucky to get the push. All the stops were pulled. What a great game.
Like oilers flames under 5.5 -107 tomorrow if anyone is looking for a fade

At least you pushed, with all the runner on base the last few innings easily could have been 9 or 10 runs scored
