BP issues are a red flag, but I like their offensive approach and their rotation is good enough. Defense is good and they have the experience and confidence. Able to play small ball and have the speed that gets teams far in October (from an offensive approach)--worst combination for Cubs pitchers to face. Cubs pitchers will dominate teams that tend to play to the long ball more than a grind 'em out, Giants style. We will see how it plays out.

I dont think there is any dream matchups anymore for tv ratings. Back in the 1990s world series like the braves and royals averaged 20 million viewers and 30% share of viewers, , in the 1980s twins cardinals world series averaged 25 million viewers, 1986 world series mets/ red sox averaged 29 million viewers and close to half the viewing share

Nowadays you may get 8-9 million people watching, a really amazing decline in viewership. red sox/ cardinals in 2013 averaged around 8.9 million viewers and tigers/ giants the year before didnt even average 8 million viewers

The most exciting time of the year but MLB is really to blame for viewership decline, season is way too long, way too much cable and blackouts and lack of national tv, fox announcing in world series is awful.

Really exciting time of the year though, texas/ cubs would do really well in ratings, two of the biggest tv markets, alot of people would be interested in the cubs ending the curse and texas has some enormous media markets. I think texas has the easiest road for sure, dodgers and giants( my pick for the wild card winner) are going to be tough teams to get by for the cubs, texas is my pick to win it all

Their bullpen may have been the worst for the most part of the second half but bochy seems to have figured out who fits where for the time being anyway and it's working.
