Chip is getting pressure to play Kaep after each bad game that Gabbert plays and loss. He is really gonna catch hell if Kaep plays better and the niners win. Essentially, why did you stick with Gabbert so long when you had a better alternative on the bench. That's a firable offense too. Last I checked this was a merit and production based business. If someone punished each of us every time we did something that they didn't agree with or like we would all be sitting at home every day. This was just complete bullshit sitting this guy on the bench while Gabbert was shitting the bed. In every other case of a team doing poorly or poor qb play the next guy gets a chance even if everyone else is screwing up. The sad thing is if Kaep plays well and the niners win and look decent he won't get any credit all because people don't agree with stance on something. Shame. You don't agree with his life experience so you punish him while trying to showcase Gabbert. If he is the best guy play him, if not give ponder a chance, but you can't let Gabbert start 16 games if healthy no matter who the back up is
