We all know those polls are based on last season this seasons forecast and hopes and dreams.

They don't really matter this early.

It was a bigger problem in the BCS era since the regular polls really counted in the whole scheme of things. Now until the committee releases their first poll these rankings essually mean nothing but something to laugh and argue about. But ya, it is pretty bad.
