depends , i had 2 macbooks that only lasted 3-5 years... if you dont mind that shelf life or expensive repairs then buy it... Macbook has some good features but it all depends really on what youre using the computer for in the end if youre just using it for work purposes and streaming movies stuff like that a macbook will do

gotta say macbooks are extremely durable i have smashed this one on the floor numerous times and punched the screen at least 15X and only had to get the screen replaced once..been 3 years.
