#179I am into any kind of racing.Originally posted by packerd_00Are you into Drift Racing Mo.
The pro drift thing isn't really something I follow but I have the utmost respect for the guys who do it. Kind of like NASCAR. Don't watch or follow it but am well aware of how difficult oval track racing is.
I am a big fan of multi-class endurance racing. Every year I make sure to catch at least a few hours of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring / Spa / Le Mans
Love that shit.Comment -

Motorcycle Racing is pretty cool aswell, ever heard of Speedway before, its awesome, ill send you a vid if you want.Yeah i wandered down the youtube rabbithole and found speedway racing years ago. Shit is crazy. Dirt track is such a different feel than asphalt. Had a buddy who drove midget for years and actually made some good money doing it. Things are savage.Originally posted by packerd_00
I always thought part of nascar's charm was that it was so low-technology. It's the simplicity that keeps the racing so close and so interesting.
One of the reasons that I love prototype racing because it offers so much flexibility for manufacturers to do something different as we say when Audi dominated Le Mans for years with the Audi TDI program and now with the introduction of hybrid powertrains. Also very cool to see the resurgence of the Ford racing program. The New Ford GT is fuccking awesome.Comment -

Yeah Nascar changed dramatically over the course of the last few decades, the guys being able to bring their own race cars to the track and win against the top teams has gone.Originally posted by MoMoneyMoVaughnYeah i wandered down the youtube rabbithole and found speedway racing years ago. #189Not really a fan of any North American fords other than the GT. The collaboration with Cosworth in the 80s and 90s produced some very cool cards like the Siera and Escort Cosworth.
Last car I owned was an Audi but it was horribly unreliable and cost me a ton in maintenance. Thinking about a BMW 1 series as my next car when I have the money. Used of course but anything fast as somewhat reliable.
Really want a Nissan 300ZX but they are hard to find in North America and expensive if they are in decent shape.Comment -

The F Type is amazing, test drive the V6 manual a few months back. Would love to try the V8.
The the XKR that they just stopped making is also beautiful. Love old Jags but the 90s ones are kinda boring, honestly.
I wish they sold Alfas here for the last 20 years so I could get a 156 on the cheap.Comment -

Shitty thing is that I don't have a car right now. Parking is like $250 a month and I wouldn't use it much.
I am constantly on all the auto industry websites. I also waste my time on Daily Turismo and Bring a trailer looking for cool cars that come up for sale. Have a good friend who makes his money buying and restoring sought after cars.Comment -

Though everywhere is walking distance I guess, depending on what you consider walking distance.Originally posted by packerd_00You live right in Toronto right, yeah I could see how expensive parking would be their mate,Londons terrible,I normally take the Bus when im in London or walk if I can.

I have always wanted to start a car thread in here but I'm not sure how well it would have been received.
If I ever have the money I will promptly buy the RUF CTR3 for sale in California as no one with $550,000 seems to want it. Looks like a Porsche but everything under the body is made by RUF
