I believe it, over the past several years I read he had a house foreclosed, borrowed 500k from Full Tilt players that took years to pay back, and his stepson who played Poker had to take a job stomping grapes for a winery.

As an aside, there are stories about Ivey losing mega millions playing craps in Canadian casinos. He also borrowed lots of money from Full Tilt and was hiding out not playing WSOP events for years.
